Production Planning Supervisor in Waterloo


Position Summary and Responsibilities:


  • In this position, your responsibilities will include the direct supervision of the planning group responsible for standard products, identifying the training and development of staff, develop and track department metrics, ensure daily schedules are prepared and create any necessary reports.
  • Responsible for the direct supervision and management of staff.
  • Ensure that OHSA is followed and that employees are trained based on both the Act and DALSA H&S policies to ensure due diligence is met.
  • Respond and address health and safety concerns of employees and to find ways to resolve those concerns.
  • Complete physical inspection of the department being supervised in order to identify and resolve any workplace hazards.
  • Ensure that production schedules are created daily.
  • Identification, planning and provision of comprehensive training for the associates to ensure an effective level of crosstraining, hence providing a flexible workforce.
  • Provide monthly reports of metrics that indicate the performance levels of the group.
  • Ensure daily action plans are met; ensure problems are escalated that are not within direct control.
  • Ability to motivate others to complete expected workload with high level of quality.
  • Consistent policy clarification and enforcement.
  • Ability to recognize performance issues or accomplishments and provide timely feedback.
  • Establish trust and credibility with your team.
  • Participate in performance management/monitoring. This includes but is not limited to GOP preparation and mid and final year reviews.

Qualifications:


  • Graduate of Business Degree or applicable education.
  • Five plus years experience in a related role, with experience in a supervisory position
  • Experience in an electronic manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Proven leadership capabilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Windows based office tools advanced Excel, Word and Database
  • Working knowledge of SAP an asset
