Lightspeed's Customer Content team is looking for an
Associate Technical Writer to create cross-product content for our Help Centers and other customer-facing communication as we continue to grow into new markets and improve the self-serve experience for our customers.


As part of the team, you'll be reporting to our Hospitality Team Lead and working alongside Team Leads, Technical Writers, Localization Project Coordinator, Content Operations Specialist, and Video Production Specialist to research, write, edit, upload, publish, and maintain self-serve content to help customers get the most out of their Lightspeed products and services.

What you'll be responsible for:


  • Writing, editing, uploading, and publishing clear, concise, customerfocused content on a deadline
  • Developing product knowledge and working with the team to create and update engaging customercentric, educational content about our products
  • Researching projects and working closely with Product Managers and other stakeholders to learn about updates to the product offering
  • Flagging content inconsistencies in daytoday copy reviews, delivering and receiving constructive feedback
  • Working closely with our Localization Project Coordinator to translate content into supported languages
  • Assisting the team with other tasks and supporting larger initiatives

What you'll be bringing to the team:

  • Exceptional English language writing and editing skills
  • Excellent research and exploration skills
  • Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects and manage priorities
  • Experience working with voice and tone, style guides

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

  • Understanding of hospitality services industries and technologies
  • Experience writing for video
  • Experience with knowledge/content management tools (Zendesk Guide, WordPress, Salesforce Knowledge)
  • Experience with localization tools (Transifex, LocalizeJS, OneSky)
  • Experience with data tools (Zendesk Explore, Google Analytics)
  • Fluency or working knowledge of other languages
