INDIGENOUS EDUCATION YOUTH WORKERS
Temporary and Casual Positions - Effective Immediately
Working under the direction of administrator/designate, the youth worker implements and promotes individualized and/or group programs in First Nations studies under the direction of the teacher.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Completion of a twoyear postsecondary education diploma in child/youth care from a recognized college/institution, or,
- Completion of two years of university course work in psychology or sociology.
- Valid Class 5 BC driver's license.
- A thorough knowledge of First Nations cultures, traditions and values demonstrated through
Indigenous ancestry. - The successful applicant will be a person of _Indigenous_ ancestry in accordance with an approved special program under Section 42(3) of the British Columbia Human Rights Code._
