Posting Overview:


  • Reporting to the Superintendent of Student Support Services, the Supervisor will oversee schoolbased clinical and therapy services to ensure adherence to clinical, therapeutic, administrative, and educational best practices within the LKDSB.

The Supervisor will:

  • Be part of the behaviour assessment, contribute to the design of the program/intervention plan, deliver staff training, then provide ongoing oversight and monitoring of results in collaboration with the classroom staff.
  • Provide caseload management that implements clinical, professional, ethical and district standards as outlined by relevant professional and licensing bodies, in adherence to LKDSB and Ministry of Education policies, procedures and direction.
  • Oversee and supervise Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) staff, including but not limited ABA Specialists, in the daytoday operations of clinical and therapy services.
  • Lead the implementation of ABA supports within the LKDSB, and liaise with community agencies and treatment centers.
  • Develop annual priorities and implementation plans for the clinical ABA service team.
  • Monitor work assigned to each team member to ensure caseload equity and success in attaining documented goals and expectations.
  • Organize and facilitate team and individual meetings.
  • Maintain an active caseload, provide direct support to schools and coach ABA staff.
  • Document and refine ABA protocols to include a tiered intervention structure.

Qualifications/Experience:


  • Completion of a Masters degree or equivalent;
  • Qualified as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA);
  • Experience in a variety of therapeutic and clinical roles and settings, such as treatment centers, school districts, or community agencies, is an asset.

Other Key Skills & Knowledge:


  • The Supervisor is able to:
  • Consult with educators and interested parties to develop, implement and communicate a school-based clinical and therapy strategy and programming;
  • Collaborate and work as a team member at the system and school level to enhance staff capacity to support student language development skills;
  • Liaise with provincial schoolbased rehabilitation service initiatives and collaborate with other School-Based BCBA Leaders across the province;
  • Build organizational conditions, including process, protocols and role clarity, for effective schoolbased services;
  • Submit reports to the Board and the Ministry of Education required;
  • Demonstrate exceptional clinical and therapy skills;
  • Exhibit excellent communication, coordination and organizational skills;
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment;
  • Have access to reliable transportation and possess a valid driver's license; travel throughout the district will be required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Education
  • Student Support Services;
  • Show an understanding of the OHRC Right to Read Inquiry Report and Recommendations.

Position Effective Date & Length:

Non-Union, Permanent, 12-month, 35 hours/week
Location to be determined.
Level 6 - $101,225 - $112,472/annum
