Data Management Lead (3-year term)

Alcool NB Liquor / Cannabis NB

About the position

  • Alcool NB Liquor is embarking on a multiyear business transformation project, including the implementation of Microsoft D365.


We are seeking a Data Management Lead to develop, execute, and monitor a Data Management Program for ANBL and Cannabis NB.

They will act as a Subject Matter expert to define data management gaps, identify areas of opportunity, establish data management standards and processes during the project, and provide oversight and support during steady state and beyond.


What will you be doing?

  • As the Data Management Lead, you will develop a roadmap to manage the scope and priorities of critical enterprise data. In collaboration with the Information Management, Privacy, Finance, and IT teams, you will define the criteria and requirements for data lifecycle management. Alongside the data migration team, you will help facilitate data relevancy, mapping, cleansing, auditing, and overall governance.

Core responsibilities

  • Establishing Data Management Standards, defining processes across the organization, and enforcing compliance with data rules
  • Creating documentation, standardized reporting tools, and templates to ensure enterprise data is accurate and compliant
  • Guiding setup of data to comply with enterprise systems (including ERP) and governance policies
  • Measuring, monitoring, and maintaining data quality across all data domains
  • Developing a communication plan and collaborating on a knowledge management strategy to educate and empower users on data governance policies and practices

Technical stack (including but not limited to)

  • Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint, Office 365, Dynamics 365, Dynamics GP, Power BI Reporting, Azure, SQL, SQL Server, SSRS, and SSIS (nice to have)

Required experience

  • Deep understanding of data management and data governance best practices, ideally in a retail environment
  • Previous experience leading data management activities in at least one full ERP implementation
  • Excellent communication skills to present roadmaps, strategies, and escalated issues to senior management and stakeholders

Location

  • Reporting into the ANBL Retail Operations Centre in Fredericton, New Brunswick
