What does a Facility & Maintenance Supervisor do?
The goal is to ensure that the production equipment is maintained, and the facility is always in good condition, with safety being of utmost importance.
- Be "Hands on" with repairs by performing and assisting team with work orders.
- Supervise and execute maintenance as well as support activities 24/
- Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees for the maintenance department.
- Participate in daily SCRUM meetings with manufacturing shop leadhands to review work orders.
- Create a formal work order system to track efficiency.
- Create a system to track unplanned Maintenance to forecast and improve machine uptime.
- Coordinate work performed by outside vendors, contractors, and custodians.
- Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates.
- Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of company equipment and parts.
- Control and monitor spares inventory.
- Track machine downtime and recommend strategies to reduce.
- Implement safety policies and procedures for the department.
- Be an active, participating member of the JHSC
- Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, lead the team to deliver effectively.
- Maintain accurate record of maintenance operations and present to upper management reports of daily activities.
- Be able to support off shift requirements as necessary.
What you bring to the table
- Industrial Millwright license (433A)
- Experience in electronics
- Previous supervising experience
- Contractor negotiation skills
- Proven track record in performance management and budgeting
Desired:
- Computer knowledge
- Time management
- CNC maintenance background
- Injection molding maintenance background
- CMMS software experience
- Previous experience is required, but we are open to individuals with previous transferable skills such as: Manufacturing supervisor, manufacturing, millwright, injection molding, maintenance, maintenance manager, facility manager, facilities manager, supervisor_

Salary:
$40.00-$50.00 per hour
