Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes
- Perform small drywall repairs to prep for paint
- Assist carpenters and other tradespeople with general labor duties
- Clean and maintain painting equipment and tools
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a painter or laborer in the construction industry
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and construction painting techniques
- Experience in restoring surfaces is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Class 5 Driver's license
Note:
The successful applicant will require an LMIA and already be living in the greater Edmonton area or have the ability to re-locate quickly.
Pay:
$20.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours:
per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- painting: 1 year (required)
Language:
- English (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)
