Role Summary:

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, wire, test, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical and electronic equipment based on BOM's drawings, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Adjust, test, troubleshoot, and repair selected products as instructed.
  • Interconnect all assemblies using proper wire sizes according to instructions.
  • Troubleshoot systems and replace or repair subassemblies when necessary.
  • Stay updated on current electronic technology used in products and systems.
  • Maintain records and complete paperwork accurately.
  • Ensure proper allocation of products and materials before assembly.
  • Draw parts for assembly projects.
  • Identify and report repetitive defective products.
  • Follow processes for troubleshooting and reporting defective products.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Observe industrial and safety rules.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
  • Communicate with field personnel and team members as required.
  • Verify job compliance with ULC standards.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education from a recognized Electronic Technician Program or equivalent
  • Over 2 years of experience in electronics or a related field
  • Knowledge of industry regulatory documents
  • Proficiency in operating software
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment
  • Completion of relevant product training courses

  • Utilize hand tools and test equipment such as meters, oscilloscopes, screwdrivers, etc.
  • Work with computers for programming and documentation using software tools like Excel and Word.
