Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, "hands-on" Equipment Assembler/Skilled Laborer to join our Mechanical Assembly Team for the assembly of a new mining and construction equipment.

The role includes reading mechanical drawings, pneumatic, electric, and hydraulic schematics, and assembly of machine components, on brand new equipment.

Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm

Responsibilities:

Reading mechanical drawings including assembly drawings and detail component drawings, assembly of precision machine components as required for assembly of brandnew machinery
Installing brake and plant air systems
Installing 12v lighting systems
Mechanical installation of various systems, testing and assisting with predelivery commissioning
Ability to keep records
Maintain a clean working environment
Engine and transmission installs
Hydraulics system installs
Complete inspections and commission brand new equipment
Option to travel globally to perform new equipment Startup and training
Use product training and general knowledge ensuring trouble free operation of customer's equipment
Troubleshoot and problem solve over the phone or at customer's sites around the world
Maintain and service shop equipment
Write service reports capturing all important points

Qualifications:

Mechanical aptitude and/or experience in a metal shop
Ability to read mechanical drawings, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic schematics
Familiar with basic hand tools
Team player can work independently
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues, report, repair and/or correct the issues with mínimal supervision
Ability to travel
Good written and verbal communication
Available to work full time
Capable of heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and twisting
Extremely responsible and safety conscious Requirements
Driver's license
Own tools
Steel toe boots
Salary will depend on education & experience
MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN ALBERTA, AND IDEALLY ALREADY LIVING IN THE AREA OR PLANNING ON RELOCATING
