JOB SUMMARY

Handles incoming leads for large groups and catering leads for hotels in a specific area. Works with customers to match their preferences with brand needs, actively promotes each business opportunity to increase revenues and boost customer loyalty.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required:

- High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in sales, marketing, guest services, or related area

- 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field; 2 years experience in sales or related area

Preferred:

- Experience in selling large group business

- Understanding of group sales process and closing techniques

- Team-based selling experience

- Hospitality Management Degree

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Sales Activities

- Responds promptly to incoming group/catering opportunities within specified parameters

- Refers opportunities outside parameters to appropriate sales associate

- Understands market trends and competition to effectively sell

- Closes opportunities based on market conditions and property needs

- Supports operational aspects of booked business

- Utilizes company marketing initiatives to drive sales

- Collaborates with other sales channels for coordinated efforts

- Builds strong customer relationships for future bookings

- Handles guest issues during sales process

Prince Edward Island Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $41,175.00 to $69,998.00 annually.

British Columbia Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $45,750.00 to $85,553.00 annually.
