Here's what you'll be doing....

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production operation of Campus Outfitters.

In collaboration with the External Sales Manager, you'll create efficient strategies, processes and workflows for operations, procurement, vendor management, production, and customer management.

You'll provide collaborative relationships with store management teams, marketing, receiving and eCommerce to provide the best possible service to our customers, creating long term growth and profitability.

Providing excellent team leadership and expert production management are key elements for success in this role.
Working Hours
Normal working hours are 7.25 hours daily, 36.25 hours weekly. A certain amount of overtime will be required from time to time, especially during peak periods. Weekend and evening work may be required from time to time.


Key Responsibilities include:
Production and Workflow Management

  • Plan and manage daytoday production; ensure high productivity in a safe environment
  • Coordinate production and order fulfillment including delivery of ordered merchandise
  • Establish and continuously improve day to day operations by benchmarking and using key performance indicators (KPI's) to measure the results
  • Ensure daytoday operations run smoothly by overseeing employee performance and offering guidance when needed
  • Responsible for the all the equipment including maintenance agreements and give input to capital investment planning
Inventory Management

  • Principle buyer for supplies, production including blanks, and services
  • Drive accurate inventory management and availability by using tools such as seasonal opentobuy analysis and supplier performance management
  • Support the creation product range strategies based on analysis of current business performance, market situation and consumer trends
  • Responsible for the overall inventory accuracy for the unit
Business Process Development

  • In collaboration with the External Sales Manager, develop strategies to improve: efficiency and reduce cost, order processing, quotations, and production planning
  • Engage in strategic business planning supporting the External Sales Manager and team
  • Support the budget planning process including creating budgets and monitoring spending
Team Management

  • Hire, coach, lead and develop high performing team members
  • Engage in employee training to improve productivity and performance
  • Maintain high morale to ensure organizational targets are met
  • Support organizational culture and lead by example

Education, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Postsecondary graduate, or equivalent combination education/experience
  • Minimum 5 years of production and operations supervisory experience
  • Proven track record of inventory management

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Excellent leadership skills and collaborative team player
  • Expert understanding of product range development including managing margins and inventory; excellent experience in budgeting and annual planning, able to analyze data
  • Skilled negotiator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Energetic and comfortable working in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent merchandising sense; fosters creativity in others
  • Proficient system knowledge and aptitude
  • Able to work in physically demanding environment and move up to 20lbs
  • Commitment to continuous learning
