We are searching for a curious, creative, conscientious, charismatic creator of compelling content and cogent communications to do amazing things in the Office of the President & CEO.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an energetic, action oriented and self-motivated communications strategist.

Working in the Office of the President is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where communications projects vary greatly in size, scope and style.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff and Director of Strategy, the Office's Communications Strategist will work closely with NAIT's executive team and senior leaders.

They will skillfully amplify NAIT's story, both internally and externally, through a wide variety of mediums.


Strategic Objectives and Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development of a Presidential brand to communicate both internally and externally.
  • Build a strong connection to the NAIT Communications department to collaborate on institutewide initiatives where messages could/should be amplified by Office of the President.
  • Develop an action plan to support the Advanced Skills Center project, outlining how and when the Office of the President communicates internally and externally with respect to various phases of the project and to promote advocacy efforts.
  • Be present for important meetings and events involving the Office of the President to capture worthy narratives for promotional and storytelling purposes.
  • Lead the development of a President social media strategy and put into action.

Tactical Objectives and Responsibilities:


  • Prepare formal correspondence with government and industry partners when appropriate.
  • Prepare speaking notes and scripts for events of all forms.
  • Assist with video messaging and audio recordings as necessary.
  • Conduct internal and external research in preparation for drafting various tactical communication needs.

Qualifications:


  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional communications experience.

Remuneration:
$2, $3,956.43 biweekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
