Activity & Experience Manager.
Full time employee.

Shifts:
Vary in their start and end time and can change due to the needs of our guests. A mixture of days, evenings, holidays and weekend shifts.
What you will be doing:
The objective is to Connect
Muir Guests with memorable and exciting activities outside of the hotel walls. As the Activity & Experience Manager you are bring the adventure to the Guests stay at the
Muir.
T
he Activity & Experience Manager acts as a primary contact for facilitating external Guest needs, and orchestrating howMuir delivers on those needs.
Such needs include:
- Meet with guests and provide outstanding customer service to all guests, owners, and visitors of the hotel.
- Aware of special owner VIP relationships within the local Nova Scotian community or international community.
- Conduct pre arrival processes to contact all future guests to arrange services including but not limited to Wine Tastings, Dining Reservations, shipping packages, various Transportation methods, and researching different vendors and service providers.
- Assure information for restaurants, museums, attractions, tours, maps and other local attractions are updated and current.
- Continuously builds an extensive knowledge base of local area restaurants, shops, attractions, transportation options, and airports.
- Proficient knowledge on activities that are available in Halifax & around the province (concerts, theatre, sports games, special exhibits, land marks, sightseeing, outdoor activities).
- Maintains a positive and professional relationship with all vendors and merchants.
- Works with GM, Director of Sales and EVP Marketing to develop innovative actives and promotional events.
Your experience and skills include:
- Diploma or certificate in Hotel/Restaurant Management or the equivalent an asset
- 3 5 years guest servicerelated experience, ideally in luxury hotels
- Familiarity with location, neighborhood, and local attractions, including restaurants, bars, and nightlife
- Ability to suggest a wide variety of local and provincewide attractions for guest entertainment
- Working knowledge of office software, pointofsale, and phone systems
- Has excellent people skills and the ability to interact with all guests and owners, internal and external, effectively with tact and diplomacy
- True desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fastpaced environment
- Strong follow through skills
- Positive and cando attitude
- Problem solving skills
