About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Operations, the Procurement Manager is responsible for supporting provincially integrated processes and assisting the lead, design and development of all supply chain related processes, plans and policies to support the effective, efficient and sustainable delivery of all Nova Scotia Health (NSH) services and programs.


The Procurement Manager has zone level responsibility for the following corporate programs and services: purchasing, Health PRO, contract compliance and relationship management, as they relate to the NSH supply chain service and customers.

The Procurement Manager provides leadership in the operation of Integrated Supply Chain service, ensuring high quality service and client relations consistent with polices, controls and strategic operational planning.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field is required.
  • Minimum of Five (5) years' management experience with directing and overseeing the supply chain activities within a large scale organization is required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Recognized Professional Supply Chain Designation (CPP/SCMP) is an asset
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Coaches and motivates team members to optimize team effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication skills along with strong financial, conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to organize, control and coordinate a variety of activities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of supply chain process and key performance indicators
  • Experience with, and a high understanding of ITdriven supply chain
  • Ability to delegate issues to team leads and staff
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in working with health care practitioners
  • Occasional travel to other sites or throughout the province is required (primarily sameday travel)
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours:


  • Permanent, Fulltime position, 75 hrs biweekly

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $47.07 Hourly
