Position Summary

What you will do
Executes all aspects of meeting room, event and hospitality service on the Conference and Practice floors such as:

  • Meet and greet clients and visitors in a welcoming and friendly manner
  • Set up food and beverage in appropriate meeting rooms and events in a timely fashion taking a handson approach, working to initiate and maintain attention to detail
  • Ability to support the receptionist and the Hoteling Concierge as needed
  • Ability to open and close the reception desk and answer all incoming calls
  • Scanning the weekly bookings to assist in ensuring all upcoming events and meetings have all needed requirements ahead of time
  • Working under the guidance of the conference floor coordinator to doublecheck that bookings have all requirements on live event days
  • Liaising with the meeting room team, catering team and AV team to assist in customer service towards employee and clientoriented events and meetings
  • Receive and doublecheck food orders from caterers, ensuring correct deliveries
  • Use reports and an event overview program to stay on top of the day's meeting and event requirements
  • Communicate with internal and external organizers to book upcoming events
  • Manage any building service requests or concerns
  • May be required to work periodically outside regular hours
**What you bring to the role

  • Previous experience in F&B environment like at a restaurant is preferred
  • Proactive and friendly mannerisms, for a customer centric role
  • Growthmindset in developing longterm solutions
  • Experience / licensed with safe food handling
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time; and move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance
  • Professional attitude and approach is a prerequisite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and cooperative in a team environment
  • Wellorganized, capable and interested in taking initiative
  • Discretion and the ability to handle confidential material appropriately
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
