Description

Your primary function as Technical Communicator (Writer) will be to describe products, their functions, how to use them and procedures for maintaining them.

You will do this using different methods including but not limited to writing and illustration.

Reports Directly to - Technical Publications Supervisor.
This is not a remote or hybrid position. In house only.

Requirements:

***- Excellent English written and verbal communications skills.

Fluency in the French language is a definite asset.
Ability to work and collaborate within a team, be mentored and contribute.
Have a good knowledge and understanding of modern technology specifically computers:
Proficient with MS Office (Excel and Word).
A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and/or the ability to be able to quickly learn and master new software.
Proven experience involving project management, organizing/prioritizing tasks, analytical skills.
Experience working in a technical environment and mechanically inclined.
College diploma in communication; or equivalent experience.
Experience in technical writing and project management an asset.

Summary:Provide clear, concise documentation to explain a company's products to end users. Analyze materials such as engineering drawings, material specifications, technical information and organize to create manuals, user guides and other documents to explain clearly and concisely the installation, operation and maintenance of Versatile equipment.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

***- Creating and maintaining manuals and various instructions: document planning, gaining product knowledge, manipulating images, writing, editing, proofreading, indexing, and formatting.

Writing and maintaining system administrator and quick reference guides.

duties as assigned by management and/or supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

***- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Focused attention to detail.
Skilled at producing high quality materials with a focus on the needs of the enduser.
Should be mechanically inclined; possess a curiosity of how things function.

Preferred Qualifications:

***- University degree or Certificate in Technical Communications, or similar syllabus in the communication field.
