Helix IT is seeking Technicians to join our team of Fiber Optic Installers in the Calgary area.

As an MxU Installation Technician you will perform multi-dwelling/commercial fiber optic installations under the supervision of our experienced team leaders.

Experience preferred but not required.


Qualifications:

Who we are looking for

• Fiber and/or Coaxial experience preferred but not required
• Operate various small hand and power tools
• Prior MDU fiber to the home experience is a plus.
• Must have a great attitude.
• Must maintain a clean appearance.
• Must have great attention to detail and take pride in their work.
• Must have the physical ability to work in various conditions, including residences, commercial spaces and in adverse weather conditions.
• Physical ability to work from a kneeling or standing position for long periods.
• Physical ability to climb ladders with proper equipment up to 20 feet (safety belt, safety strap, hard hat, and other equipment as needed).
• Willing to learn.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Available to work overtime when deemed necessary, including holidays and weekends.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work other duties as assigned.
• Able to work in a fastpaced, timesensitive environment.
• May require travel.

Physical Requirements:

• Overhead lifting, climbing & carrying ladders.
• Working 3 feet above ground level.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Salary expectation $ $42.00/hr
