Boardwalk is currently seeking an Intermediate Security System Installer to join our dynamic team and contribute expertise to our projects.

You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of security systems, specializing in video surveillance, alarm systems, and access control technologies.

Your tasks will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including installing, replacing troubleshooting door strikes, cameras, fob scanners, running Co-ax, Ethernet, Banana cables etc.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform maintenance/troubleshooting tasks involving the abovementioned systems.
  • Run cables and conduits for security systems, ensuring proper placement and protection.
  • Collaborate with associates and leaders to understand their security needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout installation and maintenance procedures.
  • Document installation processes, system configurations, and maintenance procedures accurately.
  • Provide training to internal staff on security systems as required.
  • Work with Leaders and guide them, so that required budget for the Surveillance / Access Control Systems is allocated for all upcoming projects.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience (3+ years) in security system installation and maintenance, including video surveillance and alarm systems, with specific expertise in installing/fixing/replacing; Access Control Panels, door strikes, cameras, fob scanners, running Ethernet, Coax, Banana cables, and addressing wireless link issues etc.
  • Proficiency in installing and configuring various security systems such as Genetec, Meraki etc.
  • Acceptable physical condition to perform tasks such as pulling conduit, lifting components up to 50lbs, bending, and crawling.
  • Strong understanding of low voltage wiring and system integration.
  • Technical knowledge of security system components and their functionalities.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Capability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments, technologies, and project requirements.
  • A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications or training in security system installation are a plus.
  • Must have experience in clientfacing roles with excellent customer service skills.
  • MUST possess a valid Class5 driver's license with a clean drivers abstract
