How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?:

VitalAire Canada is the Canadian home healthcare subsidiary of Air Liquide, the world leader in gases, medical technologies and services for Industry and Healthcare.

VitalAire empowers patients who have sleep apnea or require home oxygen therapy through ongoing respiratory support and compliance.
VitalAire is currently recruiting a highly energetic and motivated Respiratory Therapist/RPN/RN for our Stratford branch.

The RT/RPN/RN provides all respiratory services with a focus on providing oxygen therapy, clinical and ventilatory support to the client while collaborating with referring physicians and ensuring patient safety.

The incumbent will work directly with all clients, referral sources and funding agencies to deliver high quality clinical evidence based care.

Additionally, they continuously work on growing the overall business through promotion of our products and services.

  • Provides quality care by conducting a full respiratory assessment; diagnostics as applicable; assessing and evaluating test results; delivering of equipment and supplies as required; developing respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with the client, physicians and care teams as per prescription and established company best practices.
  • Provides appropriate followup to clients to evaluate effects of treatment plan, comfort of client when using treatment and addresses compliance with therapy.
  • Assess clients home environment for safety, identifies and addresses areas of concern, and performs equipment quality control checks on a recurring basis.
  • Obtains informed consent from the client.
  • Contributes to the growth of Air Liquide Healthcare by liaising with healthcare professionals; providing information/literature to prospective clients; providing demonstration/education of products and services to prospective clients.
  • Maintains continuing education and knowledge of clinical best practice as related to position.
  • Responsible for complying and maintaining knowledge of all funding processes and systems.
  • Ensures quality documentation through completion of all company documentation and forms (both digital and nonelectronic) as per policy.
  • Maintains client confidentiality and protects Air Liquide Healthcare's operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Protects clients and employees by adhering to safety and infection control policies and protocols.
  • Responsible for following established company protocols for the cleaning and disinfection of all equipment.
  • Provides new staff and student instruction, supervision and evaluation when necessary.
  • Where applicable, follows Air Liquide Healthcare's corporate vehicle policy.
  • When required participates in sleep duties including initiating PAP therapy when prescribed, providing patient education, instruction of use and cleaning of their equipment. Follows company best practice guidelines, policies and procedures for PAP initiation and followup.

Are you a MATCH?:


  • Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse/RPN where applicable
  • Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body
  • College Certificate or Diploma in a Technical/ Medical Science field where permitted
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Strong cardiorespiratory assessment skills
  • Valid driver's license + Clear vulnerable persons check
  • Previous experience in healthcare field an asset
  • Ability to participate in a rotational afterhours on call schedule
