The job involves:

Supporting special projects, business and process improvement initiatives
Overseeing the support and maintenance of the computer-based accounting systems infrastructure
Creating ad hoc financial reports
Assisting in treasury functions such as cash flow reporting, initiating transactions and foreign exchange accounting
Maintaining General Ledger accounts and preparing journal entries as required
Posting journal entries to the General Ledger accounts and preparing financial statements
Preparing monthly reports and compiling the quarterly Corporate Audit binder
Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation

College Diploma with a concentration in Accounting
Minimum 3 years accounting experience
Outstanding communication and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing duties
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, AS400, Infinium, Stratten Warren, Cognos (BI)
