Security ManagerPosition Overview
The Security Manager is responsible for overall operation of the site including training, discipline, implementation of standard operating procedures.
This position is responsible for achieving all the directives given by the client and maintaining the morale and welfare of the team.
Essential Job Functions- Ensures that all services provided by staff assigned within the portfolio are delivered per the client's wishes and best interests and in accordance with Paladin's Code of Ethics.
- Managing emergencies effectively and responsibly.
- Managing events
- Build effective relationship with client and client staff.
- Ensure all security staff are fully trained and conversant with the Post Orders
- Ensure training is completed for all new staff assigned to the site.
- Coordinate and assist with all company mandated training.
- Resolve any onsite personnel conflicts by helping conduct internal investigations.
- Be accessible to the site team to assist with emergency calls outside of work hours.
- Monitoring and providing support for the site team.
- Ensure the appropriate number of Security Guards are scheduled to maintain the security of the site on a 24/7 schedule.
- Ensure you have a detailed knowledge of the site SOPs and the Post Orders.
- Perform probation and annual evaluation of all security guards employed at your site.
- Ensure that the dress and deportment of all guards are consistent with the Post Orders and Paladin's Dress regulations.
- 5 years of experience in the security industry
- A valid security guard license is required
- A minimum of Grade 12 diploma
- A minimum of 35 years in a frontline supervisory role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity.
- Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services
- Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and mentoring, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others
- Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire other to achieve common goals.
- Excellent analytical and decisionmaking skills.
- The ability to work a day shift, hours Sunday-Thursday schedule with the ability to support the site where urgent situations arise afterhours
