Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring that all reporting requirements are met for multiple dealerships.
Review of journal entries, payroll, AP/AR, and statutory reporting.
Monitor internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal regulatory and company policies and procedures.
In consultation with our Corporate Controller, prepare, analyze, and present monthly and annual operating results for each department across multiple dealerships.
Training, mentoring, and supervising accounting staff.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Accounting or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years in automotive dealership accounting.
Must be proficient with financial statements, general ledger, along with thorough knowledge of all relevant federal, provincial and local requirements regarding financial records, payroll, benefits and the like.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Excel. Experience with Reynolds&Reynolds software, or ADP, is a strong asset.
Must be organized, efficient and detail oriented. Wellspoken and clear communication.
