Prerequisites:


  • Postsecondary education in a related field or a combination of education and experience;
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Web/Multimedia Designer in a corporate environment;
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience leading a multidisciplinary team of content producers;
  • Experience managing web and multimedia projects across their life cycle;
  • Experience and proficiency working in both PC and Apple (Mac) environments;
  • Experience and proficiency using the MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
  • Experience in maintaining a website using a contentmanagement system such as Umbraco;
  • Ability to lead consultations with senior officials by evaluating needs, designing solutions and coordinating the implementation of technical solutions;
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee resources on project deliverables across multidisciplinary teams;
  • Advanced technical capabilities with specialized website development languages (HTML, CSS), website editing software and multimedia software used for photo/video editing;
  • Knowledge of the WCAG standards on accessibility to ensure technical compliance;
  • Knowledge of Parliament and the Canadian political landscape is an asset.
