Based in Vancouver, the Co-op/Intern, Financial Planning & Analysis will report to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis and support the great of the team in finding solutions and delivering results.
This role requires the co-op/intern to have strong analytics, a keen desire to learn and the ability to think 'outside of the box'.

What You'll Experience:
- Assist with management reporting and analysis, driving key insights, recommendations and proposed next steps
- Assist with business reforecasts across various area of the P&L
- Develop and update presentations for both internal and external audiences
- Create/Manage financial models used to calculate current and projected performance under various scenarios
- Maintain and build a comprehensive benchmarking library
- Prepare ad hoc analysis tied to key business needs and executive management requests
- Other duties as required
What You'll Bring:
- Currently enrolled in an academic program preferably in Commerce with a specialization in Accounting or Finance with good working knowledge of accounting/finance principles (GAAP/IFS) and operational finance
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills; detailoriented and proficient in building and handling complicated data sets
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and present results that articulate key themes and messages
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Good working knowledge of using technology in a finance environment, proficient with accounting/finance systems, ERP, analytical and BI tools Highly beneficial to have prior experience with systems such as Yardi, IBM cognos
- Previous experience working within a real estate company (asset management or development) Good working knowledge of accounting/finance principles (GAAP/IFRS) and operational finance

- The expected hourly range for this role is $23 to $25. _
