HR Assistant (Contract) - Leadership Support Office

This role will be a 4-month contract with flexibility to work 90% remote. THE ROLE

  • The HR Assistant is a strong team player, detailoriented with a passion for creating a fair, positive working environment and facilitating communication between employees and managers. The main responsibilities will include assisting the Human Resources team with current recruitment initiatives and other ongoing confidential projects._

    _Director, Human Resources_

RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment

  • HR Support for homes across Ontario by:
  • Create and post Job opportunities.
  • Liaise with external recruitment service providers and educational institutes for partnership opportunities.
  • Adhoc Sourcing for specific roles.
  • Review and revise available support documents for the homes, interview questions, rating sheets, job descriptions.

Administrative Support:


  • Support HR staff with other HR administrative functions as required (this includes, benefits, staff letters etc.).
  • Support HR Strategic Projects as requested by HR team members.
  • Assist with data cleanup for Ceridian
  • Dayforce.
  • Foster positive employee experience and facilitate effective onboarding and training within the homes.
  • Ensures confidentiality, privacy, and compliance with all employee information.
  • Maintain electronic filing.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Postsecondary education preferably in Human Resources and obtained (or working towards).
  • Previous experience working in an administrative role preferred.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information.
  • Solid computer skills required in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Strong understanding of databases and the tools used to report/monitor them.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication (written and verbal).
  • Customer focused and able to nurture positive customer relationships.
  • Highly organized and has a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills and superior ability to problem solve.
