Miller Waste Systems is looking for a Parts Purchasing Coordinator with 2+ years of experience in the transportation industry and with 2+ years of equipment purchasing/procurement and inventory control experience.

A collaborative but strong nature is essential, and the applicant's background in parts and maintenance and the transportation industry will allow them to succeed and grow within Miller Waste.


Responsibilities:

In the position of Parts Purchasing Coordinator.

The responsibilities will include but are not limited to:


  • Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Daily purchase order placement for parts as required for the Pickering and the Durham Region sub locations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure technicians have an adequate parts supply that meets their daily repair requirements.
  • Maintain a clean well organize stock room.
  • Manage all warranty parts and core return items to ensure they are returned in a timely fashion and that the appropriate return credit is received.
  • Utilize fleet software creating purchase orders and charging parts to work orders.
  • Perform monthly cycle counts, create and submit monthly reports.
  • Physical ability to transport parts and inventory weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Able to operate forklift and unload delivery trucks.
  • Maintain written records and communication with coworkers and Technician's.

Requirements:


  • Basic knowledge of truck parts and supplies.
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in work, excel and outlook.
  • Valid G driver's license.
  • Available to work extra hours and holidays when required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Willing to participate in a team environment.
