Role Summary

Reporting to the Director, Operations - Facilities Management (DFM), the Manager, Operations - Facility Projects will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing various capital improvement projects for Century Groups diverse property portfolio.

This role involves planning, overseeing project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within the allotted budget and adhere to our corporate procurement policy.

You will work closely with internal teams and build relationships with external contractors to deliver successful capital projects in line with our annual objectives.

Project scopes will vary from mechanical, electrical and structural upgrades and replacements to interior renovations and green initiatives.
The overarching goal is to contribute to the efficient and effective execution of the organization's capital projects.
Key Accountabilities

  • Working collaboratively with the DFM to develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements
  • Responsible for oversee the RFP process and awarding contracts; ensuring our corporate procurement policy is followed
  • Responsible for overseeing the project execution; ensuring scope and budget achieved
  • Prepare regular progress reports for the DFM and other internal stakeholders, detailing project status, key milestones, and any issues or challenges
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement and development of systems and operating procedures
  • Ensures safety regulations, and best practices are adhered; including ensuring a clean and safe work site
  • Responsible for completing and documenting deficiency tours to ensure final results meet Century Group standards
  • Collecting and saving all related project & warranty documentation on our corporate Google Drive
Education & Experience

  • Relevant experience may include roles such as Project Coordinator, Project Manager, or other positions with project management responsibilities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Project management experience overseeing structural, civil, mechanical upgrades and renovations on existing buildings
  • Understanding budgeting, cost estimation, and financial analysis is critical for managing project budgets effectively
  • Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as Capital Project Managers often need to lead crossfunctional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written, verbal communication skills and organizational skills
  • Able to work in a collaborative team environment capable of making important decisions
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a fast paced work environment
  • Strong computer skills and experience having worked with multiple platforms and operating systems such as Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail etc)
  • Ability to travel to sites as required
