Summary

The Junior Costing Estimator is responsible for assisting in the preparation of electronic (CAD) working plans and technical drawings for foam packaging and case inserts from preliminary concepts, drawings, specification sheets and other data.

The position will be responsible for coordinating the creation of project specifications, and complete documentation packages with internal stakeholders.

Job Duties

Work with sales staff and customers to develop design solutions that will meet customer needs
Read and interpret drawings, spec sheets, and other data provided by customers or sales staff
Aid in design products and create manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks (junior level)
Create instructions for the manufacturing of products
Organize and maintain a design and CAD digital file database for each project
Determine products and manufacturing specifications required for job completion
Prepare quotations for Sales department
Prepare First Part Approval documentation per ISO standards

Requirements:

Required:

Experience reading CAD drawings and blueprints
Experience in cost estimating a requirement
Experience with solid modeling and generation of detailed drawings using SolidWorks is an asset
Strong mathematical and problem solving abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and meet tight deadlines
