Band 6 (Min) $18.44 (Max) $28.38


What you will do:


Reporting to the Manager, Student Connection & Community Care, the incumbent will provide administrative support throughout the various stages of incident management including the intake process, investigative process, note taking, and the administration and tracking of outcomes.

The incumbent will also maintain all records and record keeping processes,

including case preparation, case notes, filing, data entry, and storage. In addition, the Assistant will be responsible for producing the Office of Student Community Standards Annual Report, assist with the coordination of the Committee for Preventing and Responding to Sexual Violence, and will assist the Manager with the implementation of the new incident

management platform, Advocate, and policy/procedure revisions.

The Assistant will also take the lead on coordinating the office's promotional opportunities and representation at college events, handling general enquiries, and contributing to other areas of the Student Success & Engagement department.


What you bring to the role:

Education:

A diploma (2 yr) in a discipline that is related and transferable to the role (e.g., Paralegal Education, Law Clerk, Justice Studies, Education, Social Work, Human Resources), or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.


Experience/Skills:


  • Ability to work in a team setting and independently
  • 23 years experience in a postsecondary environment
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills specifically with database management and Microsoft Office products
