Ramp Safety Manager for its Unit in Mississauga.

Newrest is looking for a Ramp Safety Manager to be part of the team for our unit.

This individual will be responsible for enforcing safety policies, procedures and working conditions that affect the employee on the job.

Direct and coordinate activities to provide a safe environment for employees while maintaining fast and efficient services.

Responsibilities:

Oversee recruiting and placement efforts to ensure staffing levels meet requirements and exercise best possible effort to follow any instructions provided by Customer or their designee regarding standards, procedures and practices.
Investigate, report and implement corrective action for any incident of aircraft damage or employee injury and conduct/participate in employee coaching and counseling as necessary.
Managers must be able to conduct monthly safety meetings for all employees.
Coordinate new hire safety training and perform the safety training.
Able to communicate and instill safety awareness in all employees including new hires

Profile:

4 year college degree in relevant field strongly preferred or equivalent experience
Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, and a high degree of attention to detail
Ability to read, fluently speak, and understand the English language
Must possess valid Driver License
Must be able to pass airport security clearance and test
Knowledge of airport safety regulations preferred
