Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for financial analysis and support of nonoperated joint venture
  • Liaison with business operations to analyze and provide commentary on variances highlighted in standard management reports
  • Interpret results of business unit reporting and develop qualitative explanations for discussion
  • Provide assurance that business unit financial statements align with business activities and accounting policies
  • Provide analysis to support Management Discussion and Analysis and press release information
  • Consolidate financial results for the Asset
  • Liaise with business operations to receive their performance monthly reporting to be incorporated into the Downstream Operated Consolidated report
  • Work with the business to identify and assist in implementation of corrective actions to close variances
  • Support the business in identifying and managing operational risk within the scope of Downstream accounting
  • Provide financial information in support of business KPIs.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and participate in ad hoc projects as required.
  • Exercise a degree of governance and accountability with the joint venture partner
  • Demonstrates ability to pay close attention to detail, strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Generate accounting entries related to the nonoperated joint venture
  • Work to share understanding of the nonoperated joint venture's operations and activities with the Manufacturing Finance team and management
  • Journal entries (SAP) with supporting documentation
  • Journal entries (Group Reporting) with supporting documentation
  • Generating Forecast and Budget information
  • Quarterly reporting documents, schedules, and disclosures
  • Monthly management reporting documents and schedules
  • Support for SOX and external auditors
  • Monthly Analysis including both quantitative and qualitative explanations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a specialization in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics 5 years of financial analysis experience; Finance background
  • Ability to provide guidance in all financial areas including reporting and planning
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management in a professional manner
  • Strong analytical, financial control and reporting skills; Able to interpret and communicate financial information with clarity
  • Good understanding of how Finance processes and systems operate
  • Advanced Excel skills and PowerPoint experience
  • SAP & Business Warehouse Reporting
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong Financial Acumen
  • Knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS
  • Strong impact, interpersonal, networking and communication skills and able to make a significant contribution to local management team
