Qualifications:


  • 13 years' industrial mechanical experience
  • Competent oral and written English; able to read and follow detailed instruction manuals
  • Proven track record working with machine shop practices (lathe & milling machines), welding (TIG & MIG).
  • Basic desktop computer and mathematical skills
  • Minimum high school or equivalent technical experience
  • Ability to problem solve and prioritize workload, including supporting/creating new tools, fixtures or other solutions to improve production efficiency and solve product issues.
  • Interpersonal skills; trustworthy; reliable with time and attendance.
  • Team player; be able to work well with others.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Operate machining tools, such as lathes and mill machines, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
  • Extensive mechanical knowledge an asset
  • Service, clean and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on all production equipment
  • Continually improve equipment function via design improvements
  • Ensure that work area is clean of debris and hazards at all times and check work area for such hazards upon arrival and when departing each area of work
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with legislated and company health and safety standards
  • Offer handson assistance and design solutions to production issues, under the direction of the Production Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Working Conditions:


  • Clean aviation production environment.
  • Able to lift upto 1020lbs.
  • No travel.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$18.00-$24.00 per hour
