The Financial Analyst will work directly with the Finance Manager, to support accounting activities, month end close, reconciliation and variance analysis with an aim to drive improved financial performance and support our business partners.


Accountabilities as a Financial Analyst:


  • Responsible for proper maintenance of the general ledger accounts and financial reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Monthly Financial reports and responding to inquiries and requests
  • Assist with GL account balance clean up and cleaning working paper files for key balance sheet line items (intercompany transactions, vacation accrual etc.)
  • Assist with preparing and streamlining balance sheet support schedules
  • Prepare budget to actual variance analysis, providing explanations
  • Process monthend transactions, prepare supporting documentations and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Assist with audit, including reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
  • Identify areas of improvements and complete any adhoc tasks upon request

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in Business Administration or Accounting
  • Working towards CPA accounting program preferred
  • Minimum 1 2 years work experience in accounting related role
  • Experience in identifying, investigating, analyzing and reporting variances
  • Excellent communication, organization, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Detailed oriented, with the ability to adapt to change
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel is required
