Overview of the Role

The Manager Finance will be responsible for an accounting team, the preparation and processing of accounting information and act as support for the Warehouse, Supply Chain & Logistics team within the Canadian Division.

The Manager will analyze and interpret accounting information as well as supervise the work done by their team.

He/she will provide a comprehensive analysis on the financial results on a weekly and monthly basis and be responsible in building and maintaining a strong financial reporting framework to ensure key stakeholders receive accurate and timely financial information.

The role is initially covering an 18month maternity leave in the Supply Chain Finance group, following this timeframe the incumbent would move to an equivalent role within the broader Finance group of the Canadian division.

How you will make contributions that matter:

Lead, coach and guide an accounting team and participate in their development and learning;
Prepare monthly financial statements, analysis and reports on costs;
Supervise and implement accounting principles and financial controls at month end;
Prepare of internal financial statements weekly;
Prepare annual budget;
Act as a key resource for all assigned locations, guide and coach administrative personnel with respect to accounting activities;
Collaborate with all assigned facilities for the preparation of annual budget;
Perform other related adhoc duties as assigned;

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

University degree in accounting, finance or other relevant field or equivalent experience
Recognized accounting designation (CPA) required
Personnel Management Experience
35 years of professional experience in a similar position
Excellent knowledge of the Office Suite
Knowledge of Micro Strategy (Bi) software an asset
Good communication and interpersonal skills
High level of accuracy, organizational skills, analytical skills, selfmotivation and initiative
Bilingualism (French and English); the Manager Finance will need to communicate and collaborate daily with his/her colleagues across Canada and the United States in English to accomplish his/her tasks (60% of the time)
