Who we are
Pomerleau Capital is the investment arm of Pomerleau Inc. and Borea Construction. Pomerleau Capital launched its flagship fund, PCap Infrastructure & Renewable Energies Fund LP in 2021.

As investors, we aim to deploy equity in the civil, building and energy sectors, in support of our construction arms.

As ambassadors of our construction arms, we sell their unparalleled construction abilities and provide financial advisory services.


Who you are
You are a driven self starter, passionate about investments (energy, infrastructure and real estate).

You've been working in an investment bank, an investment fund, a developer, a corporate development desk/M&A or an accounting firm for 1 to 3 years and are now keen for something different.

You are comfortable with financial modeling, know your IRR formula and can differentiate between senior, junior debt and equity.


More importantly, you are interested in learning how to negotiate with many stakeholders, understand many risks to structure bankable contracts.

You would not mind having the legal team on your speed dial, having a conversation about construction costs with the estimation team, or drafting a one pager about how to arrange bond financing in turbulent markets.

Your day to day

  • Participate in evaluating markets of interest, consistent with our threepronged strategy (i.e. energy, infrastructure and real estate)
  • Participate in the elaboration of the fund strategy
  • Assist in the management of the fund reporting requirements and performance of existing investments
  • Participate in the assessment of investment opportunities
  • Assist in forming a project's consortium (identify potential equity partners, O&M partners, etc.)
  • Assist in negotiating different agreements within the consortium for Pomerleau Capital and Pomerleau Inc.
  • Hire and manage financial, technical and insurance advisors
  • Prepare marketing material for internal and external use
  • Prepare investment thesis for internal approvals
  • Assist in preparing responses to clients' auction or public tenders processes
  • Work with legal team to read, understand and evaluate various commercial agreements including but not limited to project, interface, management, operation & maintenance, credit, purchase & sale agreements
  • Develop financial models to optimise internal rate of returns, value different investment opportunities and evaluate financing options
  • Any other adhoc request

Possédez-vous ces qualifications et habiletés?

  • Undergraduate degree in business, commerce, finance or any other related field or engineering with a business minor or CFA
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role or the sectors mentioned above
  • Finance and business acumen
  • Genuine interest in commercial arrangements and contract negotiation
  • Experience in financial modelling
  • Fully bilingual (English, French)
