Summary/Objective The Merchandiser Supervisor is responsible for contributing to the success of Bloomstar by providing exceptional customer service to large accounts, such as Costco, and managing regional merchandiser teams ensuring sales goals are met.

This role will be responsible for overseeing merchandising activities such as merchandising products, freshness rotation, display setup and maintenance, chiller stocking/rotation, stockroom organization and moving products from the warehouse to the sales floor, building customer relationships, etc.

This role will support the implementation of company merchandising systems, procedures and policies to achieve overall company sales objectives. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for hiring, training, administering and managing a team of regional merchandisers. Manage the schedule and presence of merchandisers by ensuring the presence of the point of contact in the stores. Assist and ensure visual training and development of all new employees is completed.

Maintains an open line of communication with the Regional Merchandising Manager and Merchandisers; effectively communicate and coordinate plans and procedures regarding sales targets.

Effortlessly partners with internal and external stakeholders maintaining and building strong relationships to ensure successful sales generation and achieve performance goals.

Visits regional stores daily, ensures that product deliveries are on time, stock is up in stores and that there are appropriate conditions to store the product.

Liaise with Store Managers ensuring stores meet merchandising and housekeeping standards. Communicates store gaps i.e. lighting fixtures, visual standards, details, displays. Provides feedback necessary for management to drive the business through visual and merchandising opportunities.

Conducts a comprehensive company walkthrough with store management on each store visit to ensure seamless execution of all visual standards and that business needs are addressed.

Maintains proper posting protocol; ensures that temperature, lighting, chiller stock, product quality, water changes, etc. meet the required standards. Resolves issues regarding delivery, product, storage, posting, customer service, etc. on an ongoing basis. Responds to merchandising concerns expressed by the Store Manager. Ensures the integrity of the company brand is reflected for the customer. Ensures customer service levels are met and exceeded beyond expectations at every opportunity. Motivates staff and aligns activities to achieve business goals.

Qualifications Undergraduate degree or post-secondary degree in business administration, marketing, or visual design with at least 2 years of experience in marketing, sales, retail merchandising, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience experience.

Experience in the floral industry would be an asset. Dedication to high levels of customer service and sales productivity with exceptional communication skills is a must.

Excellent leadership and collaboration skills; proven ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships across diverse groups and levels.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills with an ability to recognize and lead through complex change and transformation. Excellent management, training, development and coaching skills with an ability to supervise remotely. Results oriented and organized, focused on producing high quality work under tight deadlines and a fast paced work environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Strong ability to multi-task and effectively manage work requirements with strong attention to detail. A valid driver's license is essential. Responsibility for supervision This position has 15-20 direct reports of regional merchandisers. Working environment Regular driving to various regional stores required.
