Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Manager - Project Management Office (PMO), the Project Manager is focused on assuring projects are properly coordinated and implemented efficiently across the multiple business units of the organization.

The Project Manager will provide oversight to specified projects to ensure that a comprehensive project plan of action items is in place to ensure that initiatives are completed on schedule and within budget.

Major Responsibilities

Coordinate internal resources across multiple business units and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Provide internal communication of project updates, including formal presentations to management as required.
Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress throughout the project life cycle.
Manage changes to project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Take an active role in the managing of the improvement of processes identified during project execution.
Ensure all projects are delivered ontime, within scope and within budget.
Ensure resource availability and allocation across business units.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Conduct project post mortems and create reports identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Maintain an uptodate knowledge of and comply with all legislation and Tbaytel policies relevant to the position and the duties performed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

A degree or diploma in business administration or a technology related field
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated coaching, facilitation, analytical and project management skills.
Working knowledge of telecommunications/computer technology
Clear, concise thinker with the ability to quickly move from concepts to tangible deliverables.
Strategic thinker with the ability to interpret impacts of business transformations.

Preferred Qualifications

Three years of leadership/supervisory or technical project management and process improvement experience in the telecommunications industry.
Certified Project Management Designation.

Conditions of Employment

Must successfully undergo a satisfactory Criminal Records Check
Required to be available for emergency calls per a rotating schedule with other departments.
Use of personal vehicle may be required; outoftown travel may be required

It also identifies pending criminal code charges and outstanding warrants.
