Job Description:

We are looking to add a
Yard Supervisor to the very busy Aurora Heavy Truck


Key Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities within the yard, including loading and unloading of materials, inventory management, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Train and mentor yard staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and productivity.
  • Monitor inventory levels and participate in inventory counts as needed, maintaining accurate records of materials onsite.
  • Collaborate with other departments to fulfill customer orders and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities, identifying any maintenance needs and coordinating repairs as necessary.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and streamline operations within the yard.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics, operations management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a yard or warehouse setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customerfocused approach to service.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to yard operations.
  • Forklift certification and experience operating heavy machinery preferred.
