is a National Company with plants located in British Columbia, Ontario, Nova Scotia and the states of Iowa and Texas, manufacturing numerous types of food packaging.

Our Hantsport, Nova Scotia location is looking to hire a Maintenance Manager to provide support within our Hantsport Operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an amazing team where you will be an integral part of the operations team leading a group of Millwrights.

Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:


  • Manages, motivates, develops, and provides direct support and leadership to maintenance team including involvement in troubleshooting.
  • Providing technical and administrative support to tradesmen, maintenance stores and other departments.
  • Overseeing the operation and maintenance of the CKF Steam Plant.
  • Oversee management of predictive/preventative maintenance programs.
  • Engages contractors for repairs beyond capability of existing resources and oversees their work.
  • Managing capital projects as assigned.
  • Continuous Improvement continuously looks for areas of improvement in all areas of the Company.
  • Providing direct support to the Plant Engineer as required act as Plant Engineer during their absence.
  • Responsible for managing the maintenance budget with the Plant Engineer.

Qualifications:


  • Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) and/or Mechanical/Electrical degree (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
  • 58 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • 5 years of experience leading a maintenance team.
  • Familiarity of Provincial Occupational Health and Safety legislation and safety best practices.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional Time management with the ability to excel in a demanding, highpace environment, highly detailoriented and flexible to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), with special focus on client service and highest degree of professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong team player with a high level of personal integrity
  • Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office.
