This location is located near Richmond, ON (just outside of Ottawa) and is not accessible by public transportation._

Monday to Friday - 6:30 am to 3:00 PM


Job Duties

  • Following cycle menus, cook, food prep, and prepare ethnically diverse meals in a wellequipped, clean industrial kitchen
  • Sets up for and produces hot food components for daily production and ensures adequate supply of all required ingredients while ensuring food safety practices are upheld (rotation, temperatures, storage labelling)
  • Be flexible and adapt to change in numbers, products, and serving venues (banquet, fullservice meals, dispersed meals, and service from steam table
  • Receiving orders, storing, cleaningasyougo
  • Compliance to H&S program, quality assurance procedures and WHMIS regulations

Qualifications
- _
Red Seal or 5 years' experience industrial cooking in a food service, a must_

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • General physical wellness, and ability to stand, lift, move, etc.
  • Government Clearance Applications MUST be submitted prior to first day of employment

Experience:

Large Volume Cooking: 5 years (required)


Licence/Certification:

  • Food Handler Certification (preferred)
  • Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
  • Red Seal Certification (preferred)
