General Duties:

Under the guidance of the Manager, Partnerships, the co-op student will:

  • Help monitor, track, and administer project budgets to maximize the impact of Hydro One's formal stakeholder partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Coordinate event management and logistics (including event agendas, equipment needs, etc) to support to Hydro One's participation at events.
  • Support the development, coordination, and updating of tools, systems, and processes to track Hydro One's stakeholder management costs, activities, and participation.
  • Develop reports, correspondence, presentations, and briefing materials to support Hydro One representatives attending stakeholder events.
  • Support the evaluation of event outcomes to determine future sponsorship, participation, and engagement with stakeholders.

Selection Criteria (Minimum criteria)

  • Strong organization and administration skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to cultivate and maintain productive working relationships with external stakeholders and internal Hydro One staff to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to convey information accurately and at the right level of detail to different audiences, as appropriate.
  • Demonstrated initiative to lead and drive tasks requiring project planning and collaboration to achieve project objectives.
  • Strong critical thinking and problemsolving skills to accurately identify challenges and propose actionable solutions to address challenges. Demonstrates understanding of when to escalate issues for further support/decision making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of basic financial concepts
  • Experience in event planning and logistics
  • Experience developing business cases, managing projects, conducting business analysis
  • Demonstrates:
  • Leadership, reliability, judgment, and sound business ethics.
  • Client-Service Orientation, desire to help or serve others / meet their needs.
  • Demonstrated initiative; strong passion and desire to succeed
  • Able to persuade, convince, influence or impress others
