Location:
Markham, Ontario


Status: 37.5 hours per week, full-time, permanent


Schedule:
On-site, five (5) days/week


While overseeing the front desk, this role will act as the first point of contact and create a welcoming environment for the organization, employees and guests.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Answer all incoming front desk calls. Ensure that the phone is promptly answered through the course of regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Direct calls to appropriate persons/departments or handle directly from the front desk, as necessary.
  • Manage the front desk activities, such as greeting and announcing visitors and managing the visitation log, etc.

Additional duties will include:


  • Assist with cash posting by logging cheques and coding them with the customer reference number as required.
  • Track and follow up with customers who have outstanding equipment.
  • Maintain and update the data base to keep records current.
  • Set up invoice portals upon customer's request.
  • Assist in processing certain customer orders and minor change requests.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Postsecondary education or equivalent experience in and administrative capacity along with customer service training or equivalent experience in sales/service environment.
  • Professional verbal and written communications skills in both English and French.
  • A team player able to work effectively in an open concept office environment.
  • Willingness and capability to work with detailed information and figures.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook with the aptitude to learn new systems quickly.
