Description
Reporting to the Works Coordinator, this individual will work with shop staff as well as collaboratively with other departments to achieve the goals and objectives in the best interests of the Municipality while performing all duties in accordance with the Municipality's Workplace Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
The seasonal position is required to perform tasks and assigned duties such as:Key Responsibilities:

- Mowing
- Landscaping
- Garbage pick up
- Sign installation and maintenance
- General maintenance and repair
- Working in all weather conditions
- Safe Work practices
- All other Duties as assigned
Job Requirements (minimum standards):
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Valid class 5 driver's license. (Class 1 or Class 3 driver license is considered an asset)
- Heavy Equipment Operation knowledge and experience would be considered an asset
- General knowledge of hand tools, power tools, mowers, chainsaws, light duty equipment and other tools and equipment related to the Municipal field
- First Aid CPR training and certificate is mandatory, (will be provided by employer)
- WHMIS training would be an asset

Working Conditions
- Physical strength and ability sufficient to meet job requirements for extended periods under uncomfortable conditions in all types of weather. Appropriate outdoor safety gear is required to be brought to the worksite on a daily basis.
- Subject to frequent climbing, balancing, reaching, sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, talking, seeing and hearing.
- Perform repetitive motions including bending, twisting, stepping, pushing and pulling.
- Employees will be required to climb ladders of various heights while performing the job functions.
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time without a significant rest period
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Employees must regularly lift and/or carry objects weighing 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment
The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.
