Wed, 08/02/ :00 pmIn this position, you will provide warm, welcoming, and professional support for families, educators, and community members visiting the London Children's Connection main administrative office at 346 Wonderland Rd. S.

This position provides lunch coverage for the reception desk Monday through Friday, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Other than the 1-hour daily lunch coverage, this position also provides occasional full-day reception coverage (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) as needed during planned absences such as vacation, professional development etc., as well as same day absences due to illness or emergencies.

Rate of pay:
$17.80 per hour. Rate includes $2.00 per hour, which is provided through a provincial wage enhancement grant.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with automated multiline phone system is an asset
Flexibility to be available with limited notice for same day absences

Additional skills required:

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Friendly telephone manner
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently, as well as a team member

Primary job responsibilities:

To direct incoming calls appropriately and effectively in a pleasant, receptive, and professional manner
To facilitate client referrals to the appropriate London Children's Connection program
To greet, direct and assist visitors and clients of London Children's Connection in a welcoming and professional manner
To perform general office duties and provide clerical support for the organization as assigned
Receive and process payments, with cash or Interac
