Position Information:

Temporary position until approximately March 31, 2024.

Rotation/Shifts:

Days, 8 hour shifts.

The Hospital reserves the right to change.

Basic Requirements:

Current certificate of competence in the province of Ontario;
B.Sc.

N or actively pursuing education endeavours towards obtaining B.Sc.
N;

Five (5) years current cardiac surgery experience;
Two (2) years leadership experience;
Demonstrated leadership ability: communication, problem solving, decision making;
Demonstrates strong organizational skills;
Demonstrated knowledge of CQI process and participation in the process;
Demonstrated skill in oral and written communication;
Demonstrated commitment to personal continuing education and ongoing staff education, unit projects and committees;
Proficiency in English and French

- oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).

Language proficiency requirements are based on the nature of the position and the level of interaction with French and English speaking clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

Unit/hospital committee membership;
Cardiovascular Certification;
Cardiology experience;
Membership to RNAO.
