Works with Pharmaceutical Development Services (PDS), which provides proposals for product development/scale-up/registration manufacturing services to our pharmaceutical clients.

Is responsible for the generation of workbook for costing on projects, either for ongoing project expansions or for new business opportunities.

The incumbent will be involved with review and interpretation of technical information from the PDS technical team to prepare the Quotations for Account Executives and Patheon Clients.


Location Specific Information:


A Day in the Life:


  • Responsible for generating workbook for costing on projects and WORD proposals for new business or project expansion opportunities.
  • Ensures completion of all quote activities including revisions in a timely manner.
  • Works with technical team to determine approach and scope of project.
  • Issues 34 new quotes of varying degree of difficulty per week independently.
  • Updates SFDC reports and records.
  • Participates in client meetings or conference calls.
  • Provides assistance to Managers and Director.
  • Provides project tracking reports to Senior Management as required (Quarterly reports).

Keys to Success

Education:


  • Bachelors in Commerce or BSc

Experience:


  • 3+ years pharmaceutical industry experience preferred areas include product development, project management, manufacturing, regulatory or quality assurance
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical drug development processes.
  • Experience in either business development or workexperience in technical writing or quotations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Detailoriented.
  • Proficiency with the English language.

Carry out all duties within strict compliance to Patheon quality systems SOP's and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Maintain workspace in a clean and orderly fashion.

Actively engage in and adhere to departmental systems in order to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow (visual management, scheduling systems, etc.).

Be client and patient conscious at all times.

Understand Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and strive to improve the performance of the team by identifying areas for system improvements and engage in problem solving.

Physical Requirements:

Light physical effort and fatigue. Walks, sits or stands for limited periods. May require occasional equipment operation including keyboard equipment. Lifts light items for limited duration. Typically located in a comfortable indoor area.

There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odours, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.

Use of Personal Protective equipment may be required and may include any of the following:
safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety apron, respirator on occasionally.
