Position Summary:
An understanding of the process of starting a new business, including the study of the characteristics of the entrepreneur, the identification and evaluation of opportunities, the assembly of resources and the development of the business plan.
Qualifications - Required: Master's Degree
Qualifications - Discipline: Business Administration or equivalent
Qualifications - Areas of Specialization: Demonstrated knowledge of entrepreneurship theory, concepts and practice, demonstrated knowledge in lean startup methodology and business model canvas, experience and demonstrated ability to access, engage and work with members of the Waterloo Region entrepreneurial ecosystem, experience and demonstrated ability in mentoring and working with student entrepreneurs to launch their business ideas, entrepreneurship experience either as a founder, founding team member, advisor or senior-level employee at a start-up, experience and demonstrated ability to effectively engage a class composed of students with a wide variety of education and work-experience backgrounds.
Knowledge of effectual thinking would be an asset.
