About the Role


The Organizational Development Partner works as part of the Strategy, Organizational Design and Change team to align, build, and advance organizational capabilities for the purpose of creating sustainable competitive advantage through a highly engaged, aligned, highly skilled, and collaborative workforce focused on accelerating Teranet's strategic objectives.

Through organizational development, knowledge building/sharing, communications, learning development programs, engagement, organizational strategy, and change management, the Organizational Development Partner ensures that:

  • Teranet has a long-term strategic WFP vision of the learning needs within the organization
  • Employees, both individual contributors and People Leaders, have the core capabilities required to meet the needs of their job, to adopt Teranet's ways of working (upon hire, upon acquisition, or as a result of a change initiative), and to succeed personally and professionally at Teranet.

The Organizational Development Partner will foster deep relationships across all levels if the business, including the executive team and the business, and work collaboratively to surface and share knowledge.

What will you be doing


Organizational Programs, Learning & Communications- Leads the development of and manages the corporate event calendar and the roster of events, communications, and learning programs.- Facilitates learning and development programs including HR-created programs, non-HR proprietary programs, and hosted third-party content.- Ensures consistent setup and execution of programs to enable data collection and compliance-grade reporting.- Defines and establishes qualitative and quantitative effectiveness measurements for all programs.

Collects and analyzes data. Identifies trends and opportunities. Recommends and leads the implementation of continuous improvement actions.- Responsible for Teranet onboarding programs:

  • Design and development of onboarding programs for employees and people leaders including basic HR orientation, Workday, policies/procedures, and management/leadership basics to ensure a consistent "One Teranet" experience across all sites and all groups, and to ensure that everyone has the core capabilities to operate at Teranet.
  • Partners with HR stakeholders and stakeholders across the business to collect/consolidate information, keep it current, measure effectiveness (i.e. through surveys), and evolve the programs.
  • Operates as a trainer leader for training fellow team members to enable to deliver the materials.


Internal Corporate Events- Brings the organization's vision / mission / strategy, culture and employee value proposition to life through corporate events, communications and learning programs.- Works directly with senior leaders to establish communication strategy and plans.- Designs, plans and delivers and refines corporate events including corporate townhalls, product/project spotlight series, leadership forums and learning programs.- Defines scope of content, aggregates and assembles content and materials for event working with key stakeholders.- Prepares presenters, speakers and Executives for the event.- Stays abreast of strategic industry best practices, tools and technologies and uses them to advance effectiveness, engagement and interactivity of events.- Defines, tracks and measures event effectiveness to provide timely data and insights for event and program optimization.


Employee Engagement- Contributes to the design, then leads, and implements the engagement survey (annual and any periodic check-ins).- Informs and trains employees (survey participants), leaders, HR colleagues and engagement survey action planning teams on engagement, engagement program and purpose, interpretation of results and set-up of action plans.- Manages vendor, data collection and validation, administration and reporting.


Operational Excellence Maintains broad-based knowledge of organization and its operations.- Responds to employee / leader questions in a timely manner and defines common themes an the potential for course correction in communication delivery or program design.- Reports and reporting as required.


About You- University degree or equivalent post-secondary certificate.- A minimum of 5-7 years of organizational development-related experience with learning & development, internal communications and events.
