Job Description:


As the Junior Data Scientist reporting to the Director, Data & Analytics, you will be responsible for helping to implement the data & analytics strategy for the Office platform.


The responsibilities outlined in this job description are intended to provide a sense of the key priorities for the role.

Responsibilities:


  • Partner with business analysts and crossfunctional stakeholders to understand requirements for reporting needs.
  • Work alongside senior data scientists to understand and develop a variety of predictive models.
  • Work with DataRobot and Python to increase automation in data ingestion, model deployment, and integration.
  • Design and present bestinclass visualizations that allow business to absorb key business drivers quickly.
  • Design, develop, and implement innovative analytical solutions.
  • Conduct independent review, analysis, and resolution of issues.
  • Develop data quality controls to build trust through intuitive and accurate reporting
  • Assist in laying out strategy for the data & analytics team
  • Assist in recognizing potential issues and risks for the data warehouse and visualization project, and help develop mitigation strategies
  • Understand and explore available thirdparty datasets, and help identify potential new data to supplement the existing data model
  • Collaborate with key business partners to identify critical metrics and deliver actionable insights for datadriven decision making.
  • Be a champion for a data driven culture

QUALIFICATIONS

Service/Personal Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a meaningful way to a variety of audiences
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced agile environment
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus
  • Ability to understand business processes from different business areas and work towards their improvement.
  • Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills, with the ability to adapt and translate technical concepts in terms of business impact.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field preferred
  • Some work or school experience working with SQL with ability to utilize SQL to perform exploratory data analysis.
  • Some work or school experience working with Python to perform exploratory data analysis, consuming data via an API, and other Python libraries.
  • Technical proficiency with data and databases gained through education and/or business experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in data preparation, data analysis, and database design.
  • Experience working with all stakeholders to understand essential KPI and insights
  • Proven experiences on designing explanatory dashboards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate with nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Experience in real estate is highly preferred.

  • Experience working with Azure Data Factory or other ETL tools.
  • Experience working with GraphQL or REST API
  • Willingness to travel within North America if required
