    Position Summary:As a member of the Primary Care Management team, the Clinical Team Manager
  • Primary Health Care is responsible for the functioning of assigned Primary Health Care sites and for implementation of the primary health care framework throughout the region. Primary responsibilities relate to leadership/ service delivery, continuous quality improvement, human resource management, fiscal management, policy development and professional standards, program planning, quality management, equipment/ supplies, professional development, research, environmental management, committee participation, community engagement and communication.   • Primary Health Care, in addition to their Sub-Region accountabilities will also have specific regionwide primary care program(s) and/or clinical resource responsibilities assigned as part of their role. With the emerging trends and significant focus on Primary Care and Primary Health Care in the health system, the incumbent in this role must have demonstrated ability in multisystem approaches focused on system transformation, including working effectively in a team environment.   • Primary Health Care functions in a manner consistent with, and supports the Mission, Vision and Values of the Interlake
  • Eastern Regional Health Authority.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Nursing or other applicable undergraduate degree or other combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Currently registered in and in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba or in good standing with appropriate professional association;
  • Knowledge and experience developing and monitoring policy and procedures;
  • Experience in employee and labour relations;
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and environments and produce innovative solutions;
  • Advanced education preparation in health care management and relevant experience;
  • Minimum five (5) years experience working within a primary care setting, with two (2) years in management/ supervisory position, preferably in a primary health care setting.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and managerial ability;
  • Demonstrated effective communication abilities, both written and oral;
  • Good physical and mental health to meet the demands of the position;
  • Self motivation and commitment to achieving results;
  • Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships; and operate in a team environment;
  • Knowledge and experience developing and monitoring policy and procedures;
  • Experience in employee and labour relations;
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and environments and produce innovative solutions;
  • Satisfactory employment record.

As a condition of employment, all successful applicants will be required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check (with vulnerable sector screening), adult abuse and child abuse registry checks prior to commencing employment.

Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions.
